South Carolina Balls honoring the War of Southern Independence

These balls are typically formal affairs with most participants wearing either military or civilian period attire. These events are not sponsored by Camp 36, but the links are provided as a service to our members. In addition, many reenactments have dances as part of the reenactment activities.

Old South Ball, Greenville, SC

This annual ball is held in Greenville, SC. The next event will be held in the Marriott hotel on February 8, 2014.

Firing on Fort Sumter Ball, Spartanburg, SC

The 2014 ball will be held on April 26, 2014 at the American Legion Hall in Spartanburg.

Southern Victorian Society Summer Soiree, Newberyy, SC

This ball is sponsored by the Southern Victorian Society and is held in Newberry in June. Although not specifically commemorating the War for Southern Independence, it does commemorate the Victorian era in the south, which included the time of the Confederacy.

SCV National Reunion Ball, North Charleston, SC

The SCV National Reunion will be held in North Charleston this year. As part of the event there will be a ball on Saturday, July 19.
